Appointment Cancellation & No-Show Policy
Grace Health requires at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
You can cancel or reschedule through the patient portal, by text, by email, or by calling the office at (860) 730-4718.
What counts as a no-show
An appointment canceled with less than 24 hours' notice is considered a no-show, as is an appointment missed without notifying the office.
Grace Health reserves the right to charge a $65 no-show fee. This fee does not apply to patients covered by CT Medicaid (Husky).
Repeated missed or canceled appointments
Grace Health reserves the right to restrict or decline future scheduling for patients who miss appointments without notice or who repeatedly cancel appointments, even with proper notice.
If this applies to you, we will contact you directly to discuss it before any change to your scheduling.
If you're running late
There is a 10-minute grace period. If you arrive within that window, we'll do our best to see you as scheduled. In the past 10 minutes, we usually need to reschedule, since a shortened visit is worse, and running behind affects the patients after you.
If you know you're going to be late, please call. Sometimes the schedule has room.
Why we ask
Grace Health is a single-provider practice. An appointment held for someone who doesn't arrive is one no other patient could use, and it's often an evening or Saturday slot that several people wanted.
Maintaining an accurate schedule allows us to provide timely, high-quality care to all patients. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
